Kevin Mooney, Venice Poet, announces
St. Petersburg premiere
“Secret Language of Intimacy”
to be exhibited March 13 - March31
Kevin Mooney, author and poet, and Saumitra Chandratreya, visual artist, announce the St. Petersburg premiere exhibit of “Secret Language of Intimacy,” their unique, creative, and life-affirming collaborative effort to be presented at The Studio@620, 620 1st Ave. S, St. Petersburg, FL, Saturday, March 13 to Wednesday, March 31.
Kevin Mooney has taken the perception of emotions in relationships and transcribed them into a poetic form of language. Saumitra Chandratreya has interpreted that language into abstract artistic images. Both are interpretations of the same emotion and the viewer is encouraged to use both translations to experience the emotion themselves as they journey through the hanging fabric panels.
Mooney, resident of Venice, is a minister and Reiki Master as well as a published poet and author. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marquette University. Chandratreya, living and working in St. Petersburg, is a fiber and installation artist. He received a Master of Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Advance reservations are required to attend the opening reception during the Second Saturday Art Walk on Saturday, March 13, from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Reservations may be made through The Studio@620 website, www.Studio620.org or at https://thestudioat620.org/events/secret-language-of-intimacy//. Other viewing times are Thursdays through Saturdays, 11am - 4pm or by appointment. Advance reservations for the Artists Talk on Monday, March 15, 7pm can be made through the www.Studio620.org .
Guests are required to wear masks and observe public health guidelines on social distancing while in the gallery. Admission is free; donations are encouraged in support of The Studio@620, a nonprofit organization.
