Words of Love

"A labyrinth of emotions depicted on hanging fabric panels" is how the artist Saumitra Chandratreya and poet Kevin Mooney describe their collaborative installation Secret Language of Intimacy, now on view at The Studio@620. I saw an earlier iteration of this show at the Creative Pinellas galleries; while their description is, of course, accurate, it doesn’t fully convey the transfixing effect of Chandratreya’s ethereal chiffons married with the disarming insights of Mooney, enveloping the viewer in a meditation on love and language. Go get lost in it.
